To reach these objectives, EUROPREV has established a plan of action that includes the following points:

1. The creation of a network of health professionals interested in various areas of health promotion and prevention.
   
   
2. The creation of a documentation centre in which consensus documents, systematic reviews, clinical guidelines and other relevant documents and publications on health promotion and prevention received from the European countries and from supra-national organisations (e.g. WHO, OCDE) will be filed and available (also through Internet).
   
   
3. The analysis of the causes of morbimortality in Europe, specifically those that are potentially preventable.
   
   
4. Encourage the creation of different EUROPREV working groups to facilitate discussion on various subjects, review scientific evidence and elaborate recommendations.
   
   
5. To carry out a European multicentre study which will reveal the real situation of the scientific background and professional attitude of primary health care doctors in the area of health promotion and prevention.
   
   
6. To raise funds to cover the costs of EUROPREV coordination, its secretariat and other project expenses as well as to carry out studies throughout the various centres in Europe.
